Invention Project

KISD Board of Trustees Election Early Voting

Early voting for the Katy ISD Board of Trustees Election will take place from April 24 – May 2. Polls will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters may vote at any of the early voting sites during early voting.

Early voting will be held at the following five locations:

Leonard Merrell Center

Room 143-144, 6301 S. Stadium Lane (map)

Cinco Ranch High School

23440 Cinco Ranch Blvd. (map)

Seven Lakes High School

9251 S. Fry Road (map)

Morton Ranch High School

21000 Franz Road (map)

James E. Taylor High School

20700 Kingsland Blvd. (map)

A special early voting date will be held at the five early voting sites on Saturday, April 29, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Candidates (as they appear on the ballot) are as follows:

Position 3: Ashley Vann, Candace Perkins and David Velasquez

Position 4: Carlos Young and Courtney Doyle

Position 5: Henry Dibrell and William “Bill” Lacy

Election Day is May 6. Voters may only vote at their designated Katy ISD polling location based on their county precinct on Election Day.

TAGT Scholarships

The Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented has four scholarships available for GT kids of all ages. Two are for college tuition, and two are for summer enrichment programs. Applications must be received by February 24. Click here to visit their website for more information.

Texas TEKS vs. Common Core
