Terms of office:

KPGT officers (President, VP-Membership, VP-Elementary Advisory Council, VP-Secondary Advisory Council, VP-Programs, Treasurer, and Secretary) are elected each spring to serve two-year terms of office.  They may be re-elected as an officer but may not serve two consecutive terms in the same position.

Elections for the officer positions are as follows:

President, VP-Secondary Advisory Council, Secretary, Treasurer - spring of odd-numbered years.

VP-Membership, VP-Elementary Advisory Council, VP- Programs -  spring of even-numbered years.

The remaining board members are appointed by the officers based upon the current needs of the organization.  The Katy ISD Director of Gifted Talented and Advanced Academic Studies serves as an ex-officio board member.

Mid-term vacancies are filled by a vote of the current Board.
