Edie White is in her second year as the Coordinator for Bullying Prevention and Student Support in Katy ISD. She is responsible for coordinating and strengthening the District’s policies and practices to prevent, identify, and respond to bullying and harassment. Before coming to Katy ISD, she worked in Spring Branch ISD as a System of Care Coach at the district level and the Social-Emotional Learning Support Specialist on a high needs middle school campus. Her career started in Indiana, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. She taught middle school PE for eight years, and during that time earned a Master’s in Education and a Master’s in School Counseling. Described by colleagues as a “true advocate for all kids” and “a leader with a strong moral compass.” She firmly believes in supporting the whole child to help students become productive members of society and attain personal success.
